Crafting and reading

I haven't been blogging much, days have been flying by and there just doesn't seem to be time. My crafting (read that as knitting) has been placed on the waaaay back burner, although I have been feeling the pull to work  on something again. I promised Fiona a pair of socks to match the leg warmers I had knitted wee little Nuala and have been ever so slowly working on them. They are coming again slowly but surely. And in this amazing yarn which I can't remember what it is called, but I am pretty sure I got I from Knitpicks.
I have been reading Donna Ashton's book on Waldorf homeschooling, it is pretty good. I am enjoying it because I can read a bit and put it down and feel OK with that.

Truthful Tuesday

This is what I have been doing... gazing at my sweet babe. As much as I can. Holding her, smooching her, nursing her, sleeping with her. She is such a sweet little blessing. So happy she is here with us.

I have been meaning to blog more, but somehow the days just get away from me. Plus, I am honestly too lazy to down load all the pictures. I really haven't been doing much but nursing Nuala and watch Warehouse 13 on Netflix. I am feeling a bit more in the swing of life now, three weeks of chillin' was good for me. And I must say if you can, get your placenta turned into pills and take those. I have been feeling about 100 times better after Nuala's birth because of those magic pills.
This Saturday was spent cozy inside for the most part. The temps were in the low 60's and we had RAIN. Glorious, wonderful rain. It had been 71 days since our last drop of moisture. The kids went out in the rain just about every time the sky opened up with a burst of rain. I had extra laundry to do, but totally worth it.
Today, Sunday, shall be spent planning some fun stuff to do on the schooling front, and maybe a bit of sock knitting. I promised Fiona another pair of socks weeks ago.

Weekending and Gratitude

It has been a lovely, lazy weekend hanging at home. Some of the boys spent the night with a friend, the rest of us hung at the house and chilled. My LLL leader stopped by and delivered a case of Girl Scout cookies... just what we needed. We were running low on sugary treats. A lot of time has been spent gazing at wee little Lou-la (what Fiona calls her), which is very wonderful.

In Gratitude...
~ all of my beautiful friends for bring food, company, and love to my house this week
~ my wonderful children for always welcoming new members
~ fresh squeezed citrus juice
~ warm spring days outside
~ my dearest soul mate for always being awesome

Crafting...

Crafting is a bit of a challenge with a brand new 3 day old baby in your arms... but I was able to cut out a dozen hearts for Fiona and Rowan to color and decorate as the wished while I sat on the sofa and nursed wee Nuala. They also made bead and button necklaces. They were totally engrossed with this for well over an hour, which is pretty darn amazing. Then daddy took them to the park for scootering and sunshine while the wee babe and I snuggled and visited with a friend.

Weekending and Gratitude

Our weekend started early Friday morning with the birth of Nuala Siobhan. Our wee baby girl. She is a perfect little bundle of baby and we are all so happy to have her here, finally, Earthside.
The rest of the weekend was spent staring at Nuala, and eating pie and watching lots of shows on Netflix. Perfect.

I am ever so grateful for:

~ My dear and loving husband who is always by my side, no matter how crazy I get. I love him so very much.
~ My beautiful children who welcome all new members with joy and love.
~ My friends who have my back, bringing food, love and beauty into my life.
~ My wee baby girl, welcome to the family my love.
