This week we had to have the hot water heater replaced (can I say that is one of the great things about renting, hot water heater issues we do not have to deal with). As the plumber was getting ready to leave, he started to take apart a perfectly AWESOME box. I asked if we could have it, he was more than happy to pass it on to us. The kids got to making a spaceship right away. Lots of duck tape and masking tape, other cardboard box parts, empty water jugs, and an old skateboard... there you have it, a space ship.

Growing up in a military family we moved...a lot and the best part was all the boxes left from unpacking. We would take boxes and build homes and cities, playing for hours in the back yard. Who needs storebought toys when there is a good box around?
