Yarn Along
Joining Ginny from Small Things for the weekly Yarn Along.
This summer I have NOT been in much of a knitting mood, but I did get inspired to knit up these super sweet little tops for the girls. I used Cotlin from knitpicks (which is super awesome! and really inexpensive).
Love how it looks, but I think I might need to make Nuala a new one already, LOL, she just keeps growing too fast!

Keep Calm and Craft On
I have been collecting different 1/2 yards of Fabric from Fabric Worm over the course of a few months and I think I have the right bunch to make Nuala a super easy quilt. I got the idea from Ginny of Small Things, and I have made three of them so far over the last couple years. They don't take long, but finding the time to sit and do it seems almost impossible. I also picked out some cute fabrics to make Fiona the Lazy Day skirt from Oliver and S. Such an easy pattern and takes me only about 1 hour to whip up. I think I have made her about 6 of these. I am also going to try and make Nuala some pants using the instructions from Soulemama (they are in one of her books). I didn't take a photo of those fabrics, but they are lovely jersey cotton, nice and soft and great for baby pants.
Really excited about getting started.

Gratitude Sunday
Joining Taryn from Wooly Moss Roots for a Sunday tradition. A time to slowdown, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.
~ Fiona's continued love of books
~ Nuala, just for being a sweet little bundle of awesome
~ Logan for his music
~ Sagan for his constant pushing to open me up to new ways of doing things
~ Caelan for his smile and laugh... it is constant around here
~ Rowan for his cuddling
~ Mike for allowing me to rant, vent, and grow
It was nice taking some time off of the blog and some time off the internet (although I did watch trashy movies). Now I feel all put back together after the move, and ready to begin again. Have a wonderful week.
