knits and reads

My oh my, this pair of socks is never ending! I am still on sock one! how will I ever make it through sock two?? It isn't the pattern, it is me! I am just not "feeling it". Maybe I need to set this project aside AGAIN and try getting bit by the knitting bug while making something else?
I am reading (again) "Buddhism for Mothers". Such a gentle, wonderful, reminder book. Glad I pick it up again.

I do love the colour of that yarn! Good luck with sock number 2!

That looks like an interesting read - I will have to add it to my library list. Love the colorway of the sock but I feel you on setting things aside. Am doing it with a shawl myself! Inspiration will come from somewhere else.

Have a lovely day!

That's a refreshingly different book to see for the usual Yarn Along crowd! :) The sock colour is really so beautiful.

I think you should set your sock aside or even frog it. Knitting is supposed to be fun and life is too short to spend forcing yourself to knit something you aren't enjoying. The yarn looks lovely though :)

There must be something in the air Heather, that is exactly how I felt about my grey socks, then when I found the error I had no problem frogging them.
Maybe you just need to cast on a project that sings to your soul!

I, too, have a neverending sock. Thanks for sharing.

Socks are like that sometimes!! Why don't you start another project and see how you feel in a few days?

I always get second sock syndrome, I avoid socks!

the book looks lovely to read, the cover is soothing! I think in the summer my knitting slows down and my projects take forever as well. I hope you get through sock number two faster than the first sock!!
