knitting madness

finished socks

baby sweater vest

sweater for fiona
I have been super knitty lately. Although it is easy peasy to get all knitty when you knit for little people. I must admit I am an instant gratification girl. I finished up sock two and am very happy with how they turned out. Now they must lay in wait until December... poor things.
I started and finished Felipe baby sweater vest using Noro silk garden in, I believe, rainbow. It turned out so sweet, but Noro is a bit scratchy, which is weird since it is silk, wool and bamboo... usually that combo is heavenly. I loved this pattern so much I am casting on another as we speak, using Brambleberry worsted in "paprika" which should be lovely.
And over the weekend I knitted Fiona up a "Bitty Bump" usually this is done in a super bulky yarn, but I used a bulky weight and did the size 4T. It seems to just fit her right now, hopefully she won't grow too much between now and when we have weather cool enough for her to want to wear it. I used my most lovely Wooly Moss Root buttons they look like butterscotch candies to me.
I really should start on a few more of my holiday knits, BUT man, oh man, baby knits are so much fun. Maybe I need to knit one holiday knit and then reward myself with a baby knit? That seems like a great idea. LOL

Miss Fiona looks so sweet in her sweater.

Your are so funny about your knits, and I think rewarding yourself with baby knits is a wonderful idea. Baby knitting really is so special and how blessed you are to have a baby to knit for...go for it!

So many pretty knitted things! You have been busy. I find Noro a bit scratchy too, which I was surprised as well with that fiber combination.
