Knitting joy

Joining Ginny for the Yarn Along.

I started on this blanket, oh, about a year ago. Cae really wanted a rainbow blanket like I had knitted for Nuala, and so I had bought all the yarn (Cotlin from knitpicks), and started... then stalled, because honestly it is boring! Row after row after row of knitting 160+ stitches. But I picked it up again and have made some serious progress over the last couple weeks. I'm really getting in to it! Just three more colors to go. It won't be a huge blanket, more like a lap blanket, but it will be cozy and have a nice weight to it. The drape of the cotlin is wonderful.
I am currently rereading "How to Talk So Your Kids Will Listen & Listen So Your Kids Will Talk". I read it many many moons ago when my oldest and I were having struggles, now my newly minted teenage boy and I are butting heads, and I just need to be reminded on how to do this thing right. It is a great book.

The rainbow colours look gorgeous! I may have to look for that book too. My ten year old and I are not seeing eye to eye at the moment either.

Such a pretty and happy blanket, I do love rainbow anything.

Teenagers are fun aren't they? Hang in there.

I think I need to read that book. Me and my teenager (soon to be 20) are constantly butting heads lately. I like your rainbow. There's such a fine line between boring and comfort knitting sometimes!
