knits and reads
Joining Ginny from Small Things for Yarn Along and Nicole from Frontier Dreams for KCCO.
I finished up the baby blanket and I LOVE IT! It is so soft and cuddly, and it has a great drape, it should be wonderful for wrapping the baby up in.
I started (again) the Shalom sweater after I talked with a friend about which type of M1 would be best. And it is coming along really nicely. I have until the 21st to finish it and I am on the third set of "cable" type pattern stuff around the yolk, so I feel pretty good about getting it done in time. The camera just does not do justice to the yarn color, it is a really lovely icy blue, it just sort of looks gray in the pictures.
I am also reading "A Christmas Carol" for the first time. It is really good. I haven't read any Dicken's since high school. It is a bummer how school can turn you off from some stuff. I might make it a holiday habit, such a great reminder.

Can't wait to see your Shalom! Mine is still one of my favorite knits.
And the rainbow blanket - LOVE! I have been wanting to knit one but it just hasn't made it to the top of the list yet.
That blanket!!!! It's SO lovely!!!!
Good luck on finishing the sweater in time!
oh I love that rainbow blanket so much, so squishy and warm looking
oh that blanket!! and your shalom is lovely too! what beautiful knits!
That is such a beautiful baby blanket! I love it. A Christmas Carol is such a great week - quick and easy and such a wonderful Christmas message. I teach high school English and I so agree with you that teachers often have kids read things in school that make them hate reading. So sad. Have a good week and stay warm in this cold snap we are having.
What a wonderful baby blanket.
I'm planning on reading a Christmas Carol this season too.
I LOVE the baby blanket! What a wonderful color palette!
I can't even tell you how happy that baby blanket makes me. So much color! Your Shalom is going to be so pretty. I look forward to seeing the progress.
Fabulous. That blanket is just gorgeous.
love the rainbow! and dickens, yes, dickens is something worth reading and rereading.
That is one beautiful rainbow blanket, my dear. Wow. Nice job!
I am having a giveaway over at my place today, I would love to see you there.

Aw I love the blanket, it's beautiful. I need to have another baby so I can knit one like it lol
I love your avatar! Did you design it? That Quince and Co yarn is great, isn't it? The colors are excellent. And you can do it (according to your avatar, right): You're, right - once the yoke is done that Shalom will just fly off of the needles.
I love the rainbow blanket. That is one lucky baby!
What a gorgeous blanket. I love my shalom and would love to knit another. Don't you just hate it when you can't get a picture that is the right colour!
Gorgeous rainbow blanket!
