Weekending
Joining Amanda from The Habit of Being for Weekending.
Friday was awesome. Watched Mamma Mia, knitted, ate goodies, chilled at home, did some reading. Just wonderful.
Saturday was cool, breezy, and a bit drizzly. The boys started work on another movie project. So funny listening to them work it all out.
Sunday I discovered a small farmer's market not that far from us. A friend filled me in on the haps and I am so glad she did. Love that market. Picked up some greens, onions, flowers, peaches, honey, spicy pickles, radishes and yellow pear tomatoes. the rest of the day was spent nursing wee Nuala and knitting dish clothes while watching Under the Tuscan Sun.

Knitting
I set aside the wool wrap I was knitting when I got my box of yummy yarn from Knitpicks. I had ordered lots of Cotlin (cotton linen blend). I decided to knit up some dish towels (using cotlin) and dish clothes (using dishie from knit picks). I also picked out some lovely pink and light blue cotlin to make Fiona and Nuala some cute summer tank tops (and maybe sew some matching simple skirts for them as well.)
Honestly I am not reading anything. I am knitting, nursing Nuala and watching Bones on Netflix.

Crafting and reading
I have been wanting to make Fiona another Oliver and S simple skirt for weeks and weeks now. They literally take no time, maybe an hour and a half (and that is because I am so slow), and in the end you are rewarded with clothing! I can't remember what the fabric is, I know I won it on a blog give away awhile ago. It is a jersey cotton and just so soft. Fiona loves the skirt, and so do I.
I finished up Fiona's socks, the ones that will match Nuala's leg warmers... but I have no photo of them. I started on a wrap that I have plans to send to one of my cousins in Oregon. It is in the yarn I had planned on using for Audrey's Shalom sweater this past winter. But I just didn't like how it was turning out. Plus I have to be honest... we live in Arizona we really don't need wool sweaters, but my cousin could probably use a nice wool wrap. I am using Quince and Company "Puffin" in glacier. I am not a huge fan of this yarn, maybe other Quince and company yarn is super fabulous but I have not been very impressed, considering how everyone raves about their stuff. Maybe it is just the Puffin yarn.
I am trying to read "Angela's Ashes", but between doing my reading for my studies and just life the books seem to take a backseat. So far it is good, and I promised Audrey I would read it, so I shall.

I meant to have a photo of my knitting, but some how this week I just never took a picture of it. Still working on Fiona's socks, almost done with sock number 2. Discovered that Nuala doesn't like me to eat gluten, so I have been doing without... which is probably for the best, still I miss cake and cookies. I am a sucker for the sweetness.
My oldest son turned 16 on Sunday. 16!? That boy who fills me up, knocks me over, and just blows me away. The universe has great plans for him, I think. He is truly something else. We went to a school function on Saturday and watched him and a friend play guitars, most amazing.
I feel as if most of my time is spent sitting, nursing and just being. It gives me time to think, a lot of time to think. What is it I want, what do I see happening here in this life of mine, what plans do I wish to make? I don't have the answers yet, but that is ok, there is so much time to roll it over in my mind.
