As I was working on the Shalom sweater last week I discovered that the decreases and increases looked weird. Try as I might, I just couldn't seem to figure out how to make them both go the correct way, so I frogged the whole mess and restarted under the sleeves. I am going to NOT have waist shaping. When I was looking on Ravlery I saw that a lot of people just skipped that part. So, now I have only about 60 rows to go. Which seems like A LOT at this point. I am thinking this sweater will be a "Three Kings Night" gift.
While I was all frustrated with the shalom I cast on a pair of bitty socks, which should fit Fiona, if they are too small the new baby can have them. I love knitting little socks.
Rowan and the older boys have all been working on "secret Santa" gifts for the homeschool gift exchange this Friday. It has been fun watching them figure out what to make.
And little Miss Fiona Rosy has just got to paint when there is paint out. This week it was orange paint. She very much gets into it, luckily it usually all stays on the paper.
Last but not least... cookie baking. I have made GF Mexican wedding cookies, Scottish shortbreads, molasses cookies, raspberry fudge, regular fudge, and peppermint bark. I will probably be making the molasses cookies again since they got eaten SUPER fast. I am toying with a few other cookie recipes, but we have so much going on the next few days I am not sure I can make many more kinds.

I've frogged several projects this week....decided it's best to wait until after Christmas so I can focus properly.

I usually end up skipping the waist shaping myself. Those cookies look so yummy! I just love those rainbow socks.
