Yarn Along

Joining Ginny from Small Things for the weekly Yarn Along.

cap and mittens for new nephew

cap and mittens for SIL's niece's baby

finished shawl for mom's co-worker

FINALLY finished fiona's pebble vest

pebble and cap for nephew... with buttons!

what i am reading and knitting right now

the ever growing sweater vest
finally finished fiona's woolies

she calls them her "woowees"

Last Saturday I whipped out a couple baby caps and sets of baby mittens for a baby shower that was thrown on that Sunday. I used this pattern for the green hat and both sets of mittens and sort of winged it on the other hat. I finished up the shawl for my mom's co-worker and I just love how it came up, so big, lacy and cozy. After some serious time I got buttons for Fiona's pebble vest and my nephew's pebble vest and they look so cute. Fiona's loves her pebble, which I am so happy about.
I am working and working on the sweater vest, which I noticed was waaaay to big for Caelan. It was also to big for Sagan, so I guess Logan (my 14 year old son) will be getting that for Christmas. Which got me thinking about all the kids holiday gifts, I decided to knit all the bigger boys similar sweater vests (but that will actually fit them). AND!!! I was inspired by this sweeeet pattern, I am going to knit one for each of the kids (the boys all matching and Fiona and Audrey matching). I think they will look super cute. AND, I was able to finish up the pink and red woolies I had started some time ago for Fiona. They fit and she likes them alot. I just love knitting things for people who like them.
I am reading "Seven Times the Sun" which I have read before, but it has been years. It is still as good as I remember.

You are staying busy with so many projects...they all look very nice. The book sounds interesting. Wish I could have read a book like that when my kids were little. Have a great Wednesday

Awww...well the woolies might just be my favorite project. Did you have a lot of unfinished ones laying around because that's a lot of knitting going on over at your place! Baby knits are fun!

Wow! Your needles have been hot this week. I love seeing all the baby knits and know they are a joy to knit.
PS- Today is my first day of Whole30. Thank you for talking about it here, your words gave me the encouragement I needed to finally take the step.

WOW that's a lot of knitting...and I thought I had a lot of projects going. I'm making the pebbles vest, a very tiny one for a 4lb baby. And I think it's going to fit!
